Kentucky auction fetches over $100K on New Holland

SALT LICK, Ky. — Bath Co. Farm LLC sold equipment recently at an auction in Salt Lick, totaling well over $100,000.

The March 25 auction, conducted by McCormick Realty, saw the sale of several pieces of New Holland equipment. A New Holland 8060 Swather went for $30,000, and two BC5070 Small Square Balers were sold for $15,000 each. In addition, three TD5050 tractors each sold for between $10,500 to $14,000.

In an online portion of the auction, a 1069 Stack Cruiser sold for $15,500 and a 1089 Stack Cruiser went for $30,000.

Sullivan Auctioneers welcomes new chief operating officer

HAMILTON, Ill. — Sullivan Auctioneers is proud to announce Bill Sullivan as chief operating officer, effective April 8. He joins Sullivan Auctioneers with more than 40 years of experience in agriculture, including 25 in management and business ownership. He will replace John Sullivan, who is currently serving as the Illinois Director of Agriculture.

Bill, a Nauvoo-Colusa graduate, earned his real estate license and numerous service technician certifications early in his career. He worked as a service technician for 10 years and sales rep for five years, consistently achieving equipment sales and market share goals set by John Deere. In 1997, he bought into the Martin Kroencke Corp. that has since evolved to Martin Sullivan.

Along with his ownership role, he most recently managed sales for the Western portion of the 13-store John Deere Dealership. Bill’s job duties at Sullivan Auctioneers will include daily leadership, such as decision-making and management, and process development to help improve profitability of the company.
