Hoosier Ag Today announces management changes
ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – Hoosier Ag Today (HAT) LLC has announced the appointment of Andrew Eubank as president. Gary Truitt, current president and founder, will assume the newly created position of chairman. Eubank will assume management responsibilities for all network day-to-day operations as well as those for Michigan Ag Today. Truitt will reduce his on-air presence and will focus on financial management and on overall company direction and farm show planning.

NASS reports record yields, increases in corn, bean crops 

Kentucky farmers saw record high average yields for corn and soybeans in 2020, according to numbers released Jan. 12 by the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).
The state also set a record high for corn production at 254 million bushels, which broke the record set last year, said David Knopf, director of the NASS Kentucky field office. The 2020 crop, up 4 percent from 2019, marked the first time production has exceeded 250 million bushels.

Courageous border collie wins Midwest Farm Dog of the Year from AFBF
BELVIDERE, Ill. — Rayne, a six-year-old border collie who helps keep a small herd of Belted Galloway cows in line on her owner’s Belvidere farm has been recognized as one of the country’s top farm dogs. Owned by Juile and Terry Willis of Sunnybrook Farms, the dog was the Midwest Region winner of Nestle-Purina’s “Farm Dog of the Year” competition during the American Farm Bureau Federation’s virtual annual convention, held in January.

NFMS, tractor pull postponed until 2022
