Farmall sells for $8,000
LEXINGTON, Ind. — Restored Farmall 460 sells for $8,000 at a farm auction in Lexington Ind. Heil’s Auction Service conducted a farm equipment auction for Ernest Morrison April 17 with over 175 registered bidders. The highlight of the auction was a 1962 460 Farmall that had been completely restored by Ernest five years earlier. Auctioneer Steve Heil advertised the auction in the Farm World paper with the caption “did not look this good when new”, and everyone at the auction agreed. Other highlights of the auction were a I.H. 1586 $12,600; J,D. 4020 $7,700; Massey Fergueson 1105 $7,900; I.H 490 24-foot disc $6,600; John Deere 7700 combine $3,900 and a Gehl 3-point disc mower $4,500.
