The newly elected president is senior Aleina Joyce, daughter of Steve and Schatzie Joyce of Eaton, Ohio. Senior Abram Landes was elected vice president. He is the son of Gary and Lisa Landes of Lewisburg, Ohio. Reporter is senior Jaymi Sheppard, daughter of Jim and Donna Sheppard of New Paris, Ohio. Junior Geralyn Morgan, daughter of Rob and Bonnie Morgan of New Paris, Ohio, is secretary. Junior Amanda Forsthoefal, daughter of Roger and Peggy Forsthoefal of New Paris, Ohio, was elected treasurer. Senior Aaron Harter is the new student advisor. He is the son of Ned and Shelley Harter of West Manchester, Ohio. Senior Doug Harris, son of David and Deniece Harris of Eldorado, Ohio, is sentinel.

These officers will be under the direction of FFA Advisor Joe Slone.

Creative youth participate in Allen County talent contest
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The annual Allen County 4-H Share-The-Fun Contest was held April 28 at Neff Hall IPFW in Fort Wayne. A total of 22 acts were entered with 59 4-H members, in three different categories. Winners in each category and a runner-up from one of the categories were eligible to advance to a nine county contest in northeast Indiana.

The Blue Ribbons 4-H Club won the Group Act Category, which is any act with five or more entertainers. Their skit was entitled “Betsy’s Lost in Mayberry.” Second place went to Golden Hearts for “Start Jumpin.”

In the Curtain Act - Non Musical Category, first place went to Morgan Stillman for his tap dance to “VJ Stomp.” Regina and Ellen Shannon took second with “A Sea Dirge” and honorable mention went to Kelsey Norwalk for her magic show.

In the Curtain Act - Musical Category, Matthew Danielson placed first with his violin solo and Amber Traster took second with her vocal solo.
