Inkrott chosen to promote Holsteins, as 2013 Queen
By MELISSA HART
Michigan Correspondent

SIDNEY, Ohio — A Queen Contest was staged in conjunction with the Ohio Holstein Assoc. (OHA) Convention in Sidney, and the Ohio Holstein Queen for 2013 is Cayla Inkrott of Leipsic, daughter of David and Beverly Inkrott.

Allison Mangun of Burbank, daughter of Roy and Lisa Mangun, was named the first runner-up. Contestants came from all over Ohio, including Morgan McDonnell, daughter of Kyle and Becky McDonnell of Wellington, and Demi Snider, daughter of Dave and DeDe Snider of Kenton.

While the judges deliberated their decision, former queen contestants from the audience stood up and told when they were queen and gave a brief history of their lives since their days as Ohio Holstein royalty. The Mistress of Ceremonies was Megan Beuchner and the judges for this year’s contest were Shirley Kaltenbach, Leslie Maurice and Chris Sayers, all from Select Sires of Plain City.

Inkrott will spend the next year promoting Registered Holsteins and the OHA by appearing at county fairs, the Ohio State Fair and other promotional events.
