Tractors bring highest prices during recent Kirklin auction

KIRKLIN, Ind. — Auctioneers Greg, Michael and Don Craft sold farm equipment Aug. 7 belonging to Don Hill of Kirklin, Ind.
The top-selling item was a 1990 John Deere 4755 tractor with 5,325 hours of service, for $44,000. A 1977 John Deere 4430 tractor with 5,764 hours sold for $15,000. Other notable results include $6,100 for a J&M 385-SD gravity wagon; $5,000 for a Bush Hog 2615L bat-wing mower; $4,500 for a 1976 Ford F-600 single-axle grain truck; and $3,900 for a JD 7000 12-row folding planter.

Farm machinery auction in Osgood, Ohio

OSGOOD, Ohio — Coldwater Auction Service was blessed with a large crowd and great weather Aug. 30 for their sale of farm equipment for Allen and Elaine Bohman of Osgood, Ohio.
Top lot at the auction was $33,750 for a John Deere 4640 with duals that had 4,785 hours of use. A two-wheel-drive JD 4240 with 4,456 hours of service brought $29,400, and a JD 7720 Titan II with 3,934 hours sold for $21,000.
A JD 2640 with 146 loader brought a high bid of $9,300; a JD low tin 643 corn head was $7,300; six older J&M 350 hopper wagons sold for various prices, the average of which was $4,683; a JD 1010 24-foot field cultivator sold for $3,750; and a JD 924 grain head also brought $3,750.
