Aubrey named to Vance’s
40 Under 40 in Ag

MONROVIA, Ind. — Sarah Beth Aubrey, principal of Prosperity Consulting, was recently named to Vance Publishing Corp.’s 2014 Class of 40 Under 40 Agriculture Awards. Aubrey is joined by a wide range of leaders who have dedicated their careers to improving the ag industry. Vance’s panel of judges carefully selected the 2014 class based on their commitment to advancing the agricultural sector.

Tanel will chair international
expos/events trade group

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Megan Tanel, vice president of exhibitions and events of the Assoc. of Equipment Manufacturers, has been elected chair of the International Assoc. of Expositions and Events (IAEE). 
IAEE globally promotes the unique value of face-to-face exhibitions and events as a key medium for business development and growth, and also provides educational and informational resources. It is the largest association of the exhibitions industry in the world, with a membership of show organizers, exhibitors and exhibition suppliers, including the organizers of more than 20,000 exhibitions and events.
Fine Americas adds Kruger
as regional sales manager

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Fine Americas Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of plant growth regulators, has announced the hiring of Jim Kruger as sales manager for its Northeastern US/Eastern Canada region. Based in Holt, Mich., Kruger will work closely with Fine’s distributors to strengthen the company’s position in the greenhouse/nursery ornamentals and agricultural markets. He will also assist with the promotion of Fine’s current product line while supporting the introduction and development of new products.
Four honored with 2015 Friend
of Illinois County Fair award

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Assoc. of Agricultural Fairs (IAAF) presented their coveted “Friend of Illinois County Fair” award to Ray and Janice Swyear of Swyear Amusements of New Athens; Robert “Bob” Scherer of Boone County Fair; and Jerry Jacobs of Carroll County Fair. 
Each year, the IAAF recognizes individuals who are outstanding Illinois county fair supporters, volunteer workers or innovators in the industry and are respected by their colleagues and peers. The awards were bestowed at the 104th annual convention in Springfield.
