Hancock County farm sells for more than half a million
 
JENERA, Ohio — On July 29, Jan Layman, auctioneer, reported a sale of property from the Clyde Semler estate took place in Jenera, located in Hancock County. The property was described as 84 acres with a house that was in poor condition. All ground was tillable except the house lot. The sale price was $526,242, or nearly $6,265 an acre.
 
Polk auction will benefit St. Jude Children’s Foundation

NEW PARIS, Ind. — Polk Auction Co. will be holding its 34th annual Labor Day Auction from August 31-Sept. 2, starting at 8:30 a.m. EST each day. St. Jude auctions will be held on Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. and on Sept. 2 at noon. All of the proceeds from donations will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Foundation.

Acceptable donations include items to be auctioned off, as well as monetary donations (make checks payable to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital).

Tax write-off forms will be provided for all donations and mailed from St. Jude. Your donation helps greatly, and makes a difference in a young child’s life. The donation deadline is August 31. Donations may be delivered to Polk Auction Co., 72435 State Road 15, New Paris, IN 46553. Call Kriss with any questions, at 574-831-5100.
