Farm Show announces theme for 2020

The Indiana Farm Equipment and Technology Expo, Indiana’s only Hoosier-owned farm trade show, has announced the theme for its 2020 event to be held December 15 - 17 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  Survive and Thrive represents the situation in which most Indiana farmers find themselves.
“The farm economy was in tough enough shape heading into the 2020 growing season; the last thing we needed was a worldwide pandemic,” said Expo President Gary Truitt. Yet, that is just what happened. This presented farmers with unprecedented market volatility and uncertainty before the first seed ever went into the ground.  “At this point, we do not know what the situation will be in December except that the virus should be done and that farmers will be looking for answers about the 2021 crop and how they can position their operations for a very uncertain future,“ said Truitt.
The show will focus on what growers can do to survive in the short term and to thrive in the long term.  Attendees will be looking for answers to both these questions, and the exhibitors at the show will have some of the answers with new products and services. In addition, the free seminar series will focus on providing farmers with new skills and information that will help them Survive and Thrive. Headlining this series will be Machinery Pete. His national television show and popular social media channels make him an extremely popular presenter. More importantly, he will advise farmers on how to get the best value when buying new or used farm equipment.  With over 30 years of experience in the farm equipment business and millions of pieces of data on equipment prices, he is the person who will help growers Survive and Thrive while making investment in new equipment for their farms. There will be 2 programs held on December 15, one at 10am and a second at 1pm.
Since being purchased by Farm World and Hoosier Ag Today, show attendance has grown as the focus has been on the new technology that is changing agricultural production today.  Live demonstrations on the trade show floor have given farmers a first-hand look at new tools that they can use to improve production, increase efficiency, and be sustainable.  The 2020 show will continue this focus.
Reservations are currently being taken for exhibitors.  For details contact Toni Hodson at 1-800-876-5133 Ext. 280 or THodson@farmworldonline.com.
