Bode appointed CEO at Reynolds Farm Equipment

FISHERS, Ind. – Fishers-based Reynolds Farm Equipment has named its next CEO. The regional John Deere retailer said Michael Bode will take over the dealership June 15. Bode succeeds Mitch Frazier, who will become the next president and CEO of AgriNovus Indiana.
“I’m excited for this opportunity,” Bode said. “Reynolds is consistently among the top performing John Deere dealers in North America because of its strong team, commitment to customers and its ability to innovate,” Bode said.
Bode, the son of an Indiana farmer, grew up on a farm near Westfield. While he holds a bachelor of science in sports marketing and management from Indiana University, he’s held a special place in his heart for the farming community from which he came. “I may have moved off the farm but I always had ties to the farm,” he said.
His father no longer tends to crops but operates a small agribusiness in southern Indiana called Growers Farm Service. “In my later years in high school and in college, I would work on a golf course in the morning, then I’d leave the course and hop on a John Deere tractor do some spring disking for my dad,” Bode said. “I remember when I was a kid I really enjoyed the harvest season and thoroughly loved sitting in a combine. There’s something special about farming and the agricultural community.”
Bode, who led Reynolds’ John Deere Golf Division for nearly a decade prior to its acquisition in January by South Carolina-based Greenville Turf & Tractor, returns to Reynolds after leading a regional sales team at Greenville following the acquisition.
“The John Deere Golf Division has the top of the line when it comes to golf equipment, like fairway mowers, riding greens mowers, sprayers, turf sprayers, utility vehicle and a lot more,” Bode said. “It was a great pleasure working with all the agronomy experts out there as well.”
Prior to Greenville and Reynolds, Bode served as a sales representative with medical device manufacturer Stryker. “I really look forward to rejoining the (Reynolds) team and leading its continued evolution as we work to serve the ever-changing needs of Hoosier farmers, landscapers and homeowners,” Bode said.
Reynolds Farm Equipment was founded in Fishers in 1955 by Mac and Arline Reynolds. Today, Reynolds Farm Equipment is a regional John Deere retailer with more than 240 team members operating from five retail locations across central Indiana.
The company is a multi-year recipient of the John Deere Leaders Club honor, an annual award given to the top-performing John Deere in North America. It was also a 2018 recipient of the North American Dealer of the Year Award from Farm Equipment magazine. It is the only agricultural equipment organization to be named a Top Workplace in 2018 and 2019 by the Indianapolis Star.
“We are so excited to welcome Michael back and couldn’t be more excited for the future,” said Gary Reynolds, chairman and owner of Reynolds Farm Equipment. “He’s the ideal choice to lead this next chapter of Reynolds Farm Equipment. He’s a proven leader who shares our passion for caring for customers, our team and the Central Indiana community.”
