CAT machine sells for over $15,000
DAYTON, Ohio — During a recent Kramer & Kramer auction on Sunday, Sept. 20 and 22 in Dayton, Ohio, a 1978 Caterpillar (CAT) D6D sold for $15,000.

Also, a 1989 International tandem with plow for $3,900; a second 1989 International tandem with plow for $4,000; a 1991 International 2654 cement truck for $6,600; a 1985 Galion A500 Grader for $7,500 and a 1995 Ford tractor 545D for $4,200.

Angus sale draws top consignments
NEWARK, Ohio — On Oct. 5, the Showcase Angus Sale featured 53 lots of high-quality Angus beef cattle selling for an average of $2,370. The top-selling cow and calf was consigned by Blue Q Ranch, of Troy, N.C. and was sold for $10,000 to Fox Run Farms, of Mexico, Mo. Her heifer calf was sold for $4,000 to Cliffside Farm, of Lancaster, Ky. The high-selling heifer calf was consigned by Rains Angus, of Mercer, Pa. and was sold to Kevin Newman, of Greenfield, Ind. for $4,950.

The top-selling bred heifer was consigned by Burns Angus, of New Wilmington, Pa. and was sold for $4,000 to Trowbridge Angus, of Ghent, N.Y. The Showcase Angus Sale manager was the American Angus Hall of Fame committee from Smithville, Mo.
