Beef forage field day scheduled for September
 
DUBOIS, Ind. — Registrations are currently being accepted for a field day at the Southern Indiana Purdue Agricultural Center. 
The event is being organized by the Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) in partnership with the Indiana Forage Council (IFC). Topics for the field day will include viewing of the SIPAC cow herd and pastures, tall Fescue pasture evaluation and management, remediation of fragipan soils utilizing annual ryegrass, native warm season grasses, and plant induced animal disorders.
Speakers include Dr. Keith Johnson, Dr. Grant Burcham, Dr. Nick Minton, Mr. Kenny Eck and Mr. Jason Tower.
The field day, scheduled for September 7, begins at 2 p.m. and is free for IBCA and IFC members. There is a $20 fee for non-members. Dinner is included in the event. Learn more and register online at www.indianabeef.org or call 317 293-2333.
