Great Lakes Forage & Grazing Conference is set for March 6
 
ST. JOHNS, Mich. – The Michigan Forage Council, in collaboration with Michigan State University Extension, is excited to announce the Great Lakes Forage & Grazing Conference, scheduled for March 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at AgroLiquid, 3055 W. M-21, St. Johns, Mich. 48879.
This annual conference is a premier event for dairy, livestock, and forage producers, graziers, custom forage harvesters, agribusinesses, and MSU Extension specialists and educators. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in forage production, including regenerative agriculture, forage cost budgeting, and hay making weather decisions.
Speaker Dr. Jason Rowntree will present on “Regenerative Ag’s Rising Story,” followed by a Q&A session. Other notable sessions include “Weather Forecasting Advances to Help You Know When to Make Hay” by MLive.com Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa; “Trends from the Grazing Capital of the World” by Tom Cook; “MSU Forage Research Update” by Dr. Kim Cassida, and various breakout sessions covering topics such as animal nutrition, forage quality, and equipment safety.
The conference will also feature a trade show, providing attendees with the chance to network with industry professionals and explore the latest products and services in the forage and grazing sector.
Registration is now open, with an early bird fee of $60 available until March 3, 2025. At-the-door registration will be $70, with lunch not guaranteed for late registrants.
