We are on the brink of Thanksgiving. It is my favorite holiday because it’s all about food and family. It’s a beautiful time of year, even if outside the window it’s blowing and snowing.
Sometimes I think I’m an average beef consumer. But then in the grocery store checkout line, as I put my items on the conveyer, I realize my purchases rarely contain any meat.

’Tis the season for hunters to think of deer and others
Indiana deer harvest numbers can now be viewed daily, thanks to the Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) CheckIN Game System. Hunters are required to check in their deer using the system, either online, by phone or at an on-site check station.
