Annie’s Project in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Annie’s Project, a risk management program for women in agriculture, was offered just once last season in Ohio. In 2011 this program will be offered 12 times in various counties.

Annie’s Project is a six-part course designed to strengthen a woman’s’ role in modern farm enterprises. The program focuses on five broad aspects of risk typical in ag: human, financial, marketing, production and legal.

Workshops have been held in 20 states, and more than 5,000 participants have completed the program. Annie’s Project was introduced to Ohio in 2007.

Ohio workshops are scheduled for January-March and will be in Erie, Wood, Knox, Morgan, Auglaize, Wyandot, Ross, Defiance, Ashtabula, Stark, Fairfield and Montgomery counties.
