| GREENVILLE, Ohio — The Darke County Steam Threshers Association hosts its annual show - now in its 50th year - July 6-9 at the York Woods near Greenville, Ohio.
This year’s show features 20 to 25 large steam engines that have been exhibited over the last 49 years, along with Allis-Chalmers equipment, steel wheel tractors and Pump Jack hit and miss gas engines.
The show moved to York Woods in 1999. At this location, the group is able to plow, grow wheat, thresh wheat and saw lumber. The show also features a flea market, steam engine and tractor games, food vendors and blacksmith demonstrations.
For the kids, there are pony rides and the Kandyland Express. Thursday, July 6, is Senior Citizens Day at the show.
This year’s added events are karaoke on Thursday evening and fireworks on Friday evening along with the Clark Station Concert.
The association’s semi-annual Antique Tractor Pull, along with a skid steer rodeo, is on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday evening, Country Gold is in concert. Sunday church services start at 9 a.m.
Camping is available along with modern restrooms and shower facilities.
Admission is $5 for ages 16 and over.
