The Provico Feed Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio, announces a new warehouse is now open for business at Falmouth, Ind. They will be carrying hog, poultry, dairy, cattle, rabbit and turkey feeds, as well as dog food. Oden Thompson is the manager.

25 years ago A grain dust explosion caused at least $500,000 in damages to two 85-foot silos and equipment at the Landmark Farm Bureau Co-op facilities north of Oxford, Ohio. 10 years ago A private jet belonging to AGCO Corp. crashed in Birmingham, England, killing the company president and CEO, John Shumejda, its senior vice president of sales, Ed Swingle, and three crew members. They had been attending a meeting in Coventry, of AGCO’s British operation. Cause of crash is unknown at this time. Between 400-500 residents of Orleans Township, Mich., have signed a petition against a proposed egg farm with 2.5 million hens. The farm would have 55 employees and be operated by Midwest Poultry Services LP, based out of Mentone, Ind. |
