Fire destroyed a century-old landmark and 3,000 bales of new hay in Fayette County, recently. The blaze, of undetermined origin, occurred in a barn on the Albert Robinson farm in Harrison Township. The barn, built by Robinson’s great-grandfather, was more than 100 years old. A bucket brigade by neighbors saved a double corncrib, but efforts to save the barn were to no avail.

Although the contents of the billfold were weather-beaten and some of the bills in pieces, Barlow figured the crew found about half their wages for the evening.
Oscar Foreman, a farmer near Fountaintown, got a little fed up with city traffic in Indianapolis recently. He parked his car in the 400 block of North Arsenal Street, got out and hammered on the body and fenders with a rock. Then, he jumped on the hood and stomped it. Police booked him on a disorderly conduct charge. His explanation was that he had been overworking himself on his farm, which was damaged heavily by rains, and that the traffic had become more than his nerves could withstand.
