Grossi keynote speaker at Ohio Farmland Preservation Summit

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio — Ralph Grossi, president of American Farmland Trust, will deliver the keynote address Nov. 2 during the seventh annual Ohio Farmland Preservation Summit.

Grossi has led the American Farmland Trust to become the leading national nonprofit organization focused on farmland protection.

Farmers, landowners, local officials, land trusts and anyone else interested in farmland preservation are invited to attend. The morning session is to include information on local preservation successes across Ohio.

In the afternoon, a panel of experts from nationally recognized farmland preservation programs in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts will share their experiences.

The summit will be at Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Bromfield Administration Building, 8995 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg.

Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. and the summit is set to end at 3:30 p.m. Cost is $40, which includes lunch and materials for the day.
