EAST LANSING, Mich. — It was a dreamy day for Dream-Prairie GWA Antigo-ET as she swept up the winnings at the 2014 All-Michigan Holstein Show July 25 at the Michigan Dairy Expo in East Lansing.
Exhibited by Parker Hardy of Tipton, this first-place Junior Three-Year-Old also took the Intermediate Champion title – and then went on to be named Supreme Champion of all breeds of the Michigan Dairy Expo.
Lynn Harbaugh of Wisconsin was taken with the black beauty as he sorted through more than 100 head of Holsteins while serving as the official judge.
Reserve Grand Champion went to Vision-Gen Alex Gena-ET, exhibited by T&H Dairy of Fowler. She was the first-place four-year-old and she was also named Senior Champion of the show.
Reserve Senior Champion honors went to Porpo Goldwyn Barby-ET, the second-place four-year-old exhibited by Hardy.
The Intermediate Champion was also the Grand Champion mentioned earlier, and the Reserve Intermediate Champion came out of the Senior Three-Year-Old Class –Oceanview Sanchez Kodak, exhibited by Westvale-View Dairy, the Westendorp family of Nashville, Mich.
In the heifer classes the Fall Heifer Calf Class winner was Harbaugh’s favorite. Stranshome Starstruck-ET, exhibited by Aaron Lamoureaux, Matt Biermacher and T&H Dairy. Lucas Moser of Dansville exhibited the Reserve Junior Champion, Hardys Windbrook Lexie-ET, the first-place winner of the Spring Yearling Class.
The All-Michigan Show is the annual summer show sponsored by the Michigan Holstein Assoc. and is exclusive to its members. Winners of each class are awarded the All-Michigan honor and second-place recipients are awarded the Reserve All-Michigan honor.
