By MEGGIE I. FOSTER Assistant Editor INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indiana FFA Foundation will host the first annual Indiana Leadership Dinner on May 15 in downtown Indianapolis, Ind., featuring guest speaker former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
“We think that he will appeal to a lot of business professionals in Indiana,” said Brian Buchanan, executive director of the Indiana FFA Foundation. “The former governor will discuss the importance of leadership and the need for quality leadership in all aspects of business and government.”
In addition to Bush, Indiana Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman will briefly discuss matters dealing with the state, work of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture and leadership development. Also, the Indiana FFA officers and staff will share the importance of the FFA organization to the state of Indiana and the benefit of expanding state leadership programs that develop students’ potential as a future community and business leader.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the Indiana Roof Ballroom. The organization is hosting the event as a fundraiser to benefit the Indiana FFA Leadership Continuum, a fund supporting the development of leadership and service skills of future business and community leaders in Indiana.
Tickets and seating for the benefit dinner are currently available for purchase. There are 80 tables available and the Indiana FFA hopes to reserve all seats by May 1, according to Buchanan.
For elite seating status, including one ten-seat dinner table, ten VIP reception passes to meet the former governor, company recognition during the event, company name included in the program and an opportunity to distribute company materials to attendees the cost is $7,500. For premium seating which includes, one ten-seat dinner table, ten reception tickets and company name included in the program, the cost is $2,500. And the cost for individual tickets is $250.
