Enjoy the holidays with a live, green Christmas tree

Now that Thanksgiving is past, the Christmas season is upon us. The retail stores really started before Thanksgiving; it’s hard to believe that we are only just about three weeks from Christmas.
Traditionally our local Christmas tree farms begin to sell their fresh homegrown trees the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Our farms in Butler County are choose and cut operations. This means you and your family get to visit the farm in the country and pick the tree you want for your decoration for your home.

One of the fun things about visiting your local Christmas tree farm is you get to meet the family and look the person who grew your tree in the eye. Most customers return year after year, you build a relationship with the farm family and a tradition for years.

Live trees add to your home’s festivities. It’s great to “be green” and how better to do it than to cut your own tree. You know it’s fresh and not going to drop all its dried up needles on your carpet the day you put it up, like some trees from out of state which may have been cut 30 days ago.

Artificial trees were popular a few years ago but surveys show they are declining in popularity. They are made from petroleum products and manufactured most of the time in a country overseas. Homegrown Butler County trees can be recycled and help keep our environment clean.

They grow for 7-10 years, cleaning the air and adding beauty to our countryside before you added them to your holiday celebration.
People like using natural and the family fun of building a tradition of picking their own tree.
