OAK BROOK, Ill. – Farm Foundation®, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, will host its next virtual Forum, Ag Trade and Commodity Outlook for 2023, on Nov. 1, from 9-11 a.m. CDT.

Brian Kuehl, director of government and public affairs at Pinion, will moderate the panel, which will include diverse perspectives from these expert contributors:

• Dr. Amanda Countryman, associate professor, Colorado State University

• Ambassador Gregg Doud, vice president of global situational awareness & chief economist, Aimpoint Research

• Dr. Seth Meyer, chief economist, USDA

During the session, the panel will look at the year ahead in terms of what to expect for U.S. markets and agricultural trade in 2023. The discussion will provide a broad perspective, covering topics such as US-China trade and the EU Farm to Fork strategy. Audience members will be invited to submit questions for the panelists to answer live during the event.

“This Forum will provide a timely look at what to expect on important trade issues as well as hear from leading experts on commodity markets,” said Martha King, Farm Foundation vice president of programs and projects. “This work builds on the recent work Farm Foundation has undertaken on U.S. trade with China and the European Union.” For example, Dr. Amanda Countryman wrote a Farm Foundation Issue Report on U.S.-China trade, based on observations gathered during a Farm Foundation salon series with agriculture stakeholders from around the country, in which Brian Kuehl also took part.
