Seed Genetics Direct adds salesman

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ohio – Seed Genetics Direct is pleased to announce the addition of Eric Heeg to its growing sales team. Heeg joined the company in June and will serve customers throughout Southern Ohio, including Adams, Brown, Clermont, Clinton, Highland, Pike, Scioto and Warren Counties, as well as Northern Kentucky.
Heeg brings a lifetime of agricultural experience and a passion for helping farmers succeed. Raised on his family’s grain, sheep and hog farm near Blanchester, Ohio, he developed an appreciation for production agriculture at an early age. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2004, majoring in agricultural education with a minor in production agriculture.
For the past 20 years, Heeg taught agricultural education at Wilmington and Blanchester high schools, mentoring hundreds of future agricultural leaders while maintaining close ties to production agriculture. Following his teaching career, Heeg spent a year as an independent Golden Harvest Seed dealer before joining Seed Genetics Direct.
Heeg said his decision to join Seed Genetics Direct was driven by the company’s culture and commitment to its customers.
“I was immediately impressed by the family atmosphere and the passion everyone has for helping farmers succeed,” he said. “It’s not just a job for the people who work here. Every employee is as committed to the success of the company and its customers as Chris and Todd are. After spending time with the team, I knew this was where I wanted to build my future.”
Seed Genetics Direct has experienced tremendous growth by providing farmers with a different approach to purchasing seed. As an independent seed company, Seed Genetics Direct offers growers:
• More genetic choices from leading breeding programs.
• Up-front, published pricing with no hidden discounts or complicated programs.
• The flexibility and responsiveness that only an independent seed company can provide.
• Personalized, direct-to-grower service.
• Convenient on-farm delivery and warehouse pick-up options.
• Genetics selected and tested specifically for the Eastern Corn Belt.
• Extensive localized and regional testing through more than 25,000 replicated short-row yield plots across numerous testing locations.
• Greater participation in unbiased third-party yield trials.
• Published yield results that allow growers to evaluate product performance with confidence.
• A company philosophy centered around “Business Built on a Handshake” where honesty, integrity, and long-term relationships still matter.
Todd Jeffries, Seed Genetics Direct vice president, said, “Eric’s agricultural background, classroom experience and passion for helping farmers make him an outstanding addition to our team. He understands the challenges growers face because he has spent his career working alongside farm families. His commitment to customer service fits perfectly with our mission of helping growers become more profitable.”
Farmers throughout Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky are encouraged to contact Heeg to learn how Seed Genetics Direct’s industry-leading genetics, transparent pricing, localized testing, and personalized service can improve the profitability of their farming operation. He can be reached at 937-302-6035 or erich@seedgeneticsdirect.com.
