Heeg brings a lifetime of agricultural experience and a passion for helping farmers succeed. Raised on his family’s grain, sheep and hog farm near Blanchester, Ohio, he developed an appreciation for production agriculture at an early age. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2004, majoring in agricultural education with a minor in production agriculture. For the past 20 years, Heeg taught agricultural education at Wilmington and Blanchester high schools, mentoring hundreds of future agricultural leaders while maintaining close ties to production agriculture. Following his teaching career, Heeg spent a year as an independent Golden Harvest Seed dealer before joining Seed Genetics Direct.
