Kids’ Homemade Candy Crunchers
Skinny Cooks

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup crunchy peanut butter 2 cups Rice Krispies 1/2 pound chocolate

Instructions:
Melt the butter and add the powdered sugar, peanut butter and Rice Krispies to the pan. Stir together well. This seems a little strange in a way, since you want your Rice Krispies to be crisp, but don’t worry; everything will come out all right. Let the ingredients cool enough so they can be handled safely. Roll them into balls about the size of shooter marbles. Lay them out on pie pans or cookie sheets and freeze. Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate. The water in the double boiler just needs to be a little bit warm to do the job; it doesn’t need to be as hot as boiling. Roll the frozen Rice Krispies balls in the melted chocolate to get them nicely coated. Place these on waxed paper to let them cool off and begin to set up. Put the finished products on the waxed paper into containers you can cover and put the container of candy crunchers into the freezer so they will set up firmly. This will give you a whole bunch of candy crunchers everybody will enjoy. The kids will be proud of their accomplishment, and this day will be pleasantly remembered for a lifetime. Enjoy!
