Cheddar & Garlic Sesame Sticks
Skinny Cooks

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1/2 cup powdered cheddar cheese 1/2 cup butter 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons hot water, or a little more if needed, to make smooth dough

Instructions:
Make this in a mixing bowl by combining the flour, sesame seeds, salt, garlic powder and powdered cheddar cheese in the bowl. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter so you get a coarse mixture. Mix together the Worcestershire sauce and hot water and sprinkle this over the flour mixture. Knead with your hands or stir with a fork to get dough. There are two ways to make the sticks. The easy way is to place the dough on a floured board and roll until 1/4-inch thick, then cut into strips 2-3 inches long by 1/2-inch wide. If you want your sticks to look like the ones sold in stores, use an old-fashioned hand-crank meat grinder. Divide the large ball of dough into smaller balls and run them through the meat grinder. Use a sharp knife to cut the extruded dough into inch or 1.5-inch pieces just as it is coming out of the grinder. Keep the pieces separated. Place the strips or pieces on ungreased baking sheets and bake at 400 degrees for a few minutes, until browned. Cooking time will vary due to thickness of strips or pieces, but start checking them at 5-6 minutes, and you may need to bake them up to 10 minutes. Let cool, then enjoy.
