Instructions:
Go out to eat at a Bob Evans Restaurant. Choose the banana bread when you’re asked if you want rolls, biscuits, pumpkin or banana bread. Immediately ask your server to put the banana bread in a carryout box so you can take it home.
When you get home set the box with the bread on your kitchen counter and leave it overnight. In the morning break an egg into a bowl, add the milk and beat well with your cleanest dirty fork.
Lay the slices of banana bread into the milk and egg mixture. Let soak, turning it once, while fixing your coffee or eating some Fiber One or All Bran cereal with or without Metamucil.
Use nonstick cooking spray on your skillet and place the soaked banana bread into the skillet over medium heat. Fry on both sides.
Slide the fried bread out on to a paper plate; you don’t want to have to wash a dirty dish. Sprinkle some confectioner’s sugar over each slice of the fried bread. Serve it warm from the skillet and you’ll be enjoying some mighty fine award-winning breakfast dessert.
Send me your award-winning Lack of Effort recipes if it’s not too much effort. I’d like to try them and share them with my loyal reader. Be sure to put the phrase “Lack of Effort” in the subject line to catch my attention, and email me at Davekess@aol.com
Many thanks!
