Brown the ground beef and onion and stir it to break down the ground beef into small pieces.
Some restaurants boil the ground beef to break it up. If you boil it, don’t add the onions until you’ve drained the liquid off.
With the browned beef and onions cooked together, you just add the rest of the ingredients, stir together well and simmer for 20-30 minutes. I like to do the simmering with a lid on the skillet; be sure to stir it once in a while. If it’s too dry, add some water.
