Instructions:
Put the coffee, club soda, caramel topping and milk into a pitcher and mix it very well. If you want the “jazzed-up” dessert, add four shots of brandy to the coffee mixture and be sure to stir it in well.
Divide the ice cream so you can make 4 glasses with it. Pour the cooled coffee mixture over the ice cream. You can top each glass with some whipped cream if you wish.
You can also dress this up a little by drizzling some of the caramel topping over the top of the whipped cream. Be sure to serve this cold. Long-handled ice tea spoons and some plastic straws should be served with each glass.
It’s probably best to make sure each guest gets only one glass of this float if you make the alcohol version. You also might find it a good idea to make two batches, one plain and one with the brandy, so those at the kids’ table can enjoy some, too.
This year, leave shooting off fireworks to the professionals. Almost every community has a fireworks show you can enjoy without blowing your fingers off!
