2/3 cup chopped pecans Sauce 2 cups brown sugar 1-1/2 cups cold water 2 tablespoons butter Batter 1 cup sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 tablespoons softened butter 1 cup milk 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Make the sauce first in a small pan on top of your stove. Bring to a boil, then let it stand to cool while you mix the other ingredients. This is also a good time to chop the pecans; set them aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the batter in a bowl and pour it into a greased casserole dish. Gently smooth the sauce on top of the batter using the back of a tablespoon. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of the sauce and put the pudding into your oven for about an hour. Be sure its baked in the center before removing it to serve.
