This is an easy recipe. Just mix the ingredients in the order given, in a large bowl. Then form dough into golf ball-sized rounds and drop them into hot grease (about 365 degrees) in your deep fryer.
Fry about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Top with pancake syrup or powdered sugar to serve, if desired.
For flat-fried fritters: Simply follow the recipe on a box of Bisquick as you would to make pancakes, instead of using the first six ingredients above. Stir in the drained corn.
Fry in a skillet as you would fry pancakes. Serve with syrup or powdered sugar, if desired.
