Instructions:
Place the shortening and hot water in a bowl and add the sugar, salt and eggs. Stir together and add the dissolved yeast. Add the 6 cups of flour and mix everything together well.
Let the dough stand until it rises at least double in size. Rub some flour on your hands and punch down the dough. Cover the bowl of dough and place it in the refrigerator.
When next you want rolls, just cut off the amount of dough you need to make them for the meal. Shape into rolls two hours before serving. Let rise, until double in size.
Bake in a preheated oven set at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. When you remove the hot rolls from the oven, brush the tops with melted butter.
This will make them look like blue-ribbon winners in a baking contest. And, they’ll taste like it too.
