Instructions:
Grease an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with 2-inch-high sides. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 2 tablespoons of cocoa. Then add the milk, vanilla and melted butter and stir in well to get a smooth batter.
Add the chopped walnuts or pecans and turn this batter out into your baking dish.
Combine the brown sugar and the ¼ cup of cocoa and spread it over the top of the batter. Then you’re ready to carefully pour the 1-1/2 cups of boiling water over the top of the batter mixture in the baking dish. Again, DO NOT stir this in.
Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Place your serving dish over the top of the baking dish and turn it over so the brownie pudding will fall out onto the serving dish.
Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream – then call me to come taste it to be sure you did it right.
