Indiana Make it With Wool entry deadline is set for July 31
 
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Make It With Wool (MIWW) Competition will be returning at the Indiana State Fair on July 31. 
The competition will be at the Indiana Arts Building, with judging check-in at 9 a.m. and the public fashion show at 2 p.m.
Individuals interested in the Indiana MIWW Competition must submit their entry applications by July 1. Wool fabric testing required for entry may be completed after that date. The guidelines, entry forms and fee information for all MIWW categories can be found on the Indiana Make It with Wool Facebook page (@IndianaMIWW) or the Indiana Sheep Association website.
Contestants may compete in one of four age categories: Pre-teen (ages 12 and under), junior (ages 13-16), senior (ages 17-24) and adult (ages 25 and older). In addition to garment categories,  Indiana’s MIWW contest is sponsored by the Indiana Sheep Association and the Indiana Sheep and Wool Market Development Program.
What fabric/yarn may be used in a MIWW Entry? 
* 100% wool or wool blend (minimum 60% wool or specialty wool fiber). Specialty wool fibers include alpaca, angora, camel, cashmere, llama, mohair, and vicuna. Fabrics and yarns  used in the junior, senior and adult categories will be tested. The other categories are not tested.
* The entire garment body must be wool or wool-blend fabric. Vests worn with a suit, sport coat, or blazer may have a back of non-wool fabric. Vests worn as a top layer or with outerwear coat/ jacket must have a wool back. 
* Trims, facings, interfacings and linings may be fabrics other than wool or wool blends.
