Indiana Beef Cattle Association to host 2026 Field Day at Purdue Beef Unit
 
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) invites cattle producers, industry professionals, students and beef enthusiasts to attend the 2026 IBCA Field Day on Aug. 29, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Purdue Beef Unit.
This year’s field day will feature educational sessions led by industry experts, providing attendees with practical information they can apply to their own operations while exploring advancements in beef production.
Dr. Bethany Funnell will present on IVF and emerging technologies in beef reproduction, highlighting innovative reproductive tools that are shaping the future of the beef industry.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Live Animal and Carcass Evaluation Workshop led by Hattie Duncan and Cade Snethen. This interactive session will focus on evaluating cattle from both live and carcass perspectives, helping producers better understand factors that influence value and performance.
The afternoon will conclude with an engaging “Ask the Experts” panel discussion featuring Dr. Larry Horstman and Dr. Ron Lemenager. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and gain insights from respected leaders in Indiana’s beef industry.
