It was a packed gathering as producers from across the state attended the third annual Ohio Agritourism Conference in Hartville. The event was hosted by Maize Valley Winery and offered advice galore, from how to increase profits with innovative marketing strategies to rules and regulations governing an agritourism venture.
Indiana Ag awards student essay prizes, names Fair farm families
At an event hosted by Indiana’s Family of Farmers (IFF) at the Statehouse in late March, the Indiana State Fair announced the families that will be featured at this year’s fair and honored the top two winners of the IFF’s youth essay contest. The event was also a celebration of National Ag Day.
FFAers call South Africa trip ‘once in lifetime opportunity’
The day after New Year’s, 83 past and present FFA officers visited South Africa for a 12-day educational and cultural experience. The group participated in the 2019 International Leadership Seminar for State Officers (ILSSO) as an annual, international opportunity through the National FFA organization.
